It has been quite a while since we have done a blog as things have been pretty hectic here. Shelley's Mom passed away 2 weeks ago and then we prepared for our wonderful retreat.
Canada 150 was our theme and everyone dressed in red and white. They also decorated their stitching area's with flags and other Canada memorabilia. What fun! Today was new book day and we received this beautiful chart from Northern Expressions Needlework called Shades of Canada.
It will soon be time everyone when we can go to the beach. This cute chart called Beach Owls by Imaginating arrived today in our book order. We couldn't help but laugh at the outfits on these owls. We received some new charts as well as some of the model charts so come check out our stash. We are open Saturday, April 15th from 10 am - 3 pm, and Monday, April17 from 10 am - 5 pm. Happy Easter everyone.
This weekend marks the 100 anniversary of this incredible battle when many of our young Canadian men fought and died capturing this hill. I have had the chance to walk the steps and read the names on this beautiful monument and it was an incredible experience. Walking along the grounds sent shivers through me as I visualized the insanity of battle. If you get the chance please watch some of the TV Documentaries that will be aired on Sunday, April 9th. We have so much to be grateful for.
Today was an exciting day here at the shop when we opened our box from MarNic Designs, another great Canadian company. We received several new Welcomes and Remember. Come and check out these designs. Our snowman display is still on so come and vote for your favorite.
We are still celebrating winter here at the shop. For the next 2 weeks we have a customer snowman stitching display and we would like to have as many people as possible to come into the store and vote on their favorite stitched snowman piece. There are pictures, ornaments, cards, and pillows to view and the stitching quality is incredible. Come and see this wonderful display.
